Dear Haleigh and Taylor,
  So a little over a year ago, I broke up with my first love. I only broke up with him because I'm terrified of commitment and I really broke his heart. But after the break up, we still talked every day and hung out and stuff. He's pretty much my best friend in the world and we both still really love each other romantically. I'm not afraid of commitment anymore and the walls I put up for everyone else don't exist when I'm with him. The only reason we haven't gotten back together is because he's in college. I don't know what to do. How can you tell the difference between first love and true love?

Dear Operation Super Chicken,

  First off, we have a question. Is there a story behind your name? If not, congrats! You would probably fit right in with us. 

  Secondly, the difference first love and true love is time. Your first love feels great. Your true love lasts forever. You may ask, "How am I supposed to know if it will last forever?". Well, that's the wonderful thing about true love. You don't know, and you won't know. That's where faith comes in. Faith is the belief in something more than what you know.
  As far as your situation with your "friendly significant other", we would advise to talk to him. If he's willing and ready to date you, and you're willing and ready to date him, we say go for it.Our favorite excuse: THESE ARE YOUR TEENAGE YEARS. These are your years for memories, and you never want to look back and think, "Oh, I wish I would have tried that." It sounds like you guys have more something more than just a regular relationship, because you guys are and have been best friends. Follow your heart, it somehow already knows what it wants. We hope it works out for the best. Let us know!
