So tell me your name? I'll tell you my life.
This blog was another one of mine and Haleigh's brilliant ideas that tend to form when she comes over. The concept was great, though. We can each document our Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years while interacting with other high schoolers and helping them with problems or questions they may have. The possibilities are limitless, even if we view this with way more potential than every other high school blog.
My name is Taylor. I don't think my parents would approve of me posting about where I was born and where I go to school; just know that I was born in a boring city, and my school isn't much better. It's an academically focused school, which can be exceedingly difficult and quite repetitive at times. Although I'm sure that this blog will, at times, be some sort of procrastination method, I have newly found reasons for being focused. New York University. That's my dream. I want to become a Psychiatrist, and I want to live in New York City. I messed around during most of my freshman year, but this year I'm excited. Another focusing factor is my friend, Haleigh. She shares a common goal with me, and she's just as dedicated. The chances are stacked against us; they have about a 19% acceptance rate. I'm okay with that, it's more of a challenge for me. I've had a lot of people tell me that when I'm a teenager, I need to be carefree; that the 'Times of My Life' will come in my twenties. I respectfully disagree. My high school years create a passageway to the rest of my life. I refuse to wait for the perfect moment; rather, I'll take these moments and make them perfect.
Love,
Taylor
